Not only has partnering with UberEATS boosted sales, it has helped Ruthie’s Rolling Cafe reach new customers.
The food truck, which is stationed at Klyde Warren Park every Wednesday through Sunday, was approached by UberEATS last fall. Offered by ride service app Uber, UberEATS launched in Dallas in November, offering five to seven curated meals on weekdays for delivery within 10 minutes – this speedy delivery option has since be renamed “Instant Delivery” after Uber’s launch of a stand-alone UberEATS app last week. The 10-minute-or-less Instant Delivery is available in Dallas’ Uptown, Downtown, Medical District, Highland Park, Oak Lawn, M Streets and Design District neighborhoods.
Ruthie’s tested the service in December, offering its The Boss sandwich for delivery on two different days. All 40 of the sandwiches the food truck made for each day sold out within an hour, Ruthie’s owner Ashlee Kleinert said.
